Mission and Vision

Founded on March 1st, 2021, by Owner and Artistic Director Abby Jayne DeAngelo, Adage Ballet Academy stands as a beacon of excellence in the heart of Seattle. Our mission is rooted in three core values: Caring, Attentive, and Joyful. We are committed to fostering a respectful and caring environment, emphasizing the importance of elegance and understanding in ballet technique, and infusing joy and innovation into every dance lesson.

Training and Facilities

Located in SoDo Seattle, our academy boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including two clean studios, ample amenities, and a dedicated yoga studio. We offer a range of classes for dancers aged 7 and up, focusing on both the joy of dancing and professional ballet training. Our small class sizes ensure personalized attention, with a structured tier system to meticulously enhance each dancer’s technical and physical abilities. We also offer specialized workshops throughout the year and a highly sought-after summer intensive program.

Distinguished Faculty

Our faculty includes esteemed professionals such as Abby Jayne DeAngelo, Guillaume Basso, and Lesley Rausch, each bringing unique experiences and accolades from their careers at major ballet companies. Their dedicated teaching methods not only refine technique but also encourage artistic expression and physical well-being.

Performance and Community Engagement

Adage Ballet Academy is active in the local and international dance scenes. Highlights include our students’ performances at the O-Jak Bridge Dance & Art Festival and contributions to local events like the Maple Valley School of Ballet Spring Concert. Our annual Spring Showcase allows each student to shine, providing them with invaluable stage experience. Additionally, our outreach extends through workshops and guest teaching, enriching the broader dance community.
