Full-Time Enrollment
Now Accepting to Audition* for the 2025-26 School Year
September 2nd, 2025 - June 13th, 2026
At Adage Ballet Academy, placement is always determined by a dancer’s physical, technical, and artistic readiness — not by age alone. Placement is determined by our faculty to ensure each student is in the environment that best supports their growth. Factors such as technique, physical abilities, focus, and artistic expression are all considered. Classes often include a range of ages, and any level changes are made by ABA staff when a dancer is ready.

Our facility is located in the heart of SODO Seattle and is designed specifically for ballet training. We offer two studios with Harlequin sprung flooring systems and natural light, a yoga studio with a Pilates Reformer, four bathrooms, a reception area with a parent waiting space, a changing area with cubbies, a kitchenette, and a parent observation lounge with a small library. We are easily accessible from many parts of the city and provide a clean, welcoming, and professional space for every dancer.

Preparatory Tier
Ages 8–10
The Preparatory Tier at Adage Ballet Academy is our first level of full-time training, designed for dancers ages 8–10 who are ready to begin serious ballet study in a supportive, structured environment. With a curriculum focused on foundational ballet mechanics, the 7 qualities of movement, and artistic expression, students receive 8.5 hours of weekly training in technique, pre-pointe, conditioning, theory, and yoga — with optional modern and Hatha yoga classes available at no extra cost. Dancers gain stage experience through two major productions each year and are introduced to character work, pantomime, and repertoire. Class sizes are capped at 8 for personalized attention, and placement is by audition based on physical, technical, and artistic readiness.
Primary Tier
Ages 11-18
The Primary Tier at Adage Ballet Academy is a multi-year program for dancers aged 11–18, divided into three progressive levels: Foundation, Essentials, and Advanced. This tier helps students master the primary components of ballet by developing strong technique, pointe readiness, and expressive artistry. Dancers move at their own pace through each phase, with access to a full curriculum that includes ballet technique, conditioning, yoga, theory, modern, and partnering. Students perform in three major productions each year and may be invited to compete or take on solo roles as they progress. Placement is by audition, and all classes are capped at eight dancers to ensure focused, individualized training.

Adagio Tier
Ages 16-20
The Adagio Tier is Adage Ballet Academy’s pre-professional program for dancers aged 16–20 who are preparing to launch their careers in ballet. With nearly 30 hours of weekly training, this two-year program offers advanced technical instruction, artistic development, and full audition support. Students take on leadership roles, perform soloist repertoire, and tour with the Adage Ballet Ensemble. Open by promotion or audition, the Adagio Tier provides intensive, individualized training for dancers ready to take the next step toward a professional future.
