Spring Break Workshop 2025
Pointe Shoes & Partnering!
April 14th - 18th, 2025 (Monday - Friday)

This five-day intensive workshop is designed for dancers looking to refine their pointe technique and explore the art of partnering. Perfect for intermediate and advanced-level dancers, this program offers focused training to prepare for summer intensives, end of year performances or stay in shape over spring break.

Program Content:
With personalized attention and professional guidance from Academy directors Abby Jayne DeAngelo and Guillaume Basso, this workshop offers an unparalleled opportunity to grow as a technician and artist. This workshop offers a comprehensive curriculum, including:

Ballet Technique: Refine classical skills to enhance control and precision.

Pointe Work: Strengthen technique and artistry on pointe with expert instruction.

Partnering: Learn foundational partnering skills, including lifts and supported movements. (Please note: Partnering is contingent on the participation of enough male dancers.)

Physical Conditioning: Build strength, flexibility, and stamina with targeted exercises.

Yoga for Dancers: Improve alignment, balance, and recovery.

Workshop Details:

20 hours of classes over 5 days - evening time classes 4:30-8:30pm, daily.

Application Fee: $25 to apply for non-enrolled students, trial class required for new students.

Early Bird Tuition Rate: $500 for the full session if registered by March 14th, 2025.

Standard Tuition Rate: $550 for registrations after March 14th, 2025.

Full Attendance Required: Each day builds on the previous one, so partial session attendance is not allowed.
Registration is determined on a first come, first served basis.
Space is limited to provide individual attention.
Requirements:
Open to intermediate and advanced level dancers who are proficient on pointe. Audition is not required to attend the Spring Break Workshop, however if you are a new dancer to ABA, you will be required to attend a trial class so we can determine if you are the proper level for placement in the workshop. Dancers must be 12 years of older and have at least 2 years of pointe training.

If you are currently enrolled at Adage Ballet Academy full-time, this workshop is open to students in the Primary Essentials, Advanced & Adagio Tiers of Study.
